Synopsis
For Zhou, earning the title of “model student” is more than just a goal—it defines her entire life, a role imposed by her parents and one she gradually accepts as her only purpose. The only person who notices her hidden emotions is Li Zhen, the family’s housekeeper from the countryside. When Zhou uncovers her father’s secret, her years of obedience crumble. She finally protests against the suffocating world that demands perpetual perfection.

Directed by: Sihan Li
Sihan Li, born in 2000, is a filmmaker based in Beijing, China. She graduated from the Literature Department of Beijing Film Academy in 2022, where she completed her thesis film, "A+ Life." Currently, she works as a scriptwriter in Beijing.
Sihan directed a short film titled "Janie and Tommy Sitting in A Tree" during her time at BFA, focusing on the theme of sexual initiation for teenage girls. The film won awards at several film festivals in China. Her stories often draw from women's real-life experiences. She believes that the stories of everyday people deserve to be told.
